BRI conducts original research and onitoring projects across North America with an emphasis on loons as indicators of aquatic integrity. Evers has actively conducted loon research for 20 years. He resides in Standish, Maine, with his wife, Kate. Kate Taylor is Senior Biologist for the Loon Preservation Committee (LPC) and has overseen the scientific program since 1996. LPC monitors every known nesting pair of loons in the state of Maine and continues to assess population status and breeding success on a yearly basis. Taylor has actively conducted loon research for 12 years and resides in Standish, Maine, with her husband, Dave.
