She is also the author of It Takes a Dog to Raise a Village: True Stories of Remarkable Canine Vagabonds (Willow Creek Press). In retirement, Ruth has turned to one of her favorite activities, writing dog stories. She lives with her husband, Ken, in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she grew up and has lived all her life.
